Instructions for Attempting the Online ITIL® 4 Foundation Exam (PeopleCert)
Please carefully read the following guidelines before starting your online exam:
1. Exam Format
The exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
You must complete the exam within 60 minutes.
The passing score is 65% (i.e., 26 correct answers out of 40).
No negative marking.
2. Technical Requirements
Before the Exam
Ensure you have:
A stable internet connection.
A working laptop or desktop with:
Webcam (functioning and uncovered)
Microphone
Speakers or headset
Install the latest version of PeopleCert Exam Shield application.
Close all other applications before launching the exam.
3. Environment Requirements
You must sit in:
A quiet, private room with no disturbances.
A clean desk with no books, papers, or electronic devices.
Adequate lighting so the proctor can verify your identity.
Not allowed during the exam:
Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators.
Talking, whispering, or leaving the seat.
Additional screens or dual monitors.
4. Identity Verification
At the start of the exam:
Show a valid government-issued ID (Passport, CNIC, Driving License).
The proctor may ask you to rotate your webcam to show your room and desk.
Ensure your name on the ID matches the name on your PeopleCert account.
5. Starting the Exam
Log in to your PeopleCert account at the scheduled time.
Launch Exam Shield and complete the system checks.
Connect with the live proctor and follow their instructions.
Start the exam when the proctor authorizes it.
6. During the Exam
Do not talk, read questions out loud, or look away from the screen.
Keep your eyes on the monitor at all times.
If you need assistance, use the chat option with the proctor.
You may flag questions and return to them before submitting.
Time remaining will be visible on the screen.
7. Submitting the Exam
Review your answers before submission.
Click Submit when finished or when time expires.
The system will automatically end the exam at 60 minutes.
8. After the Exam
Your official result will appear in your PeopleCert account shortly after the exam.
If you pass, you will receive:
Digital Certificate
eBadge
Official Transcript
9. Important Reminders
✔ Must attempt the exam individually—no assistance allowed.
✔ Maintain continuous visibility to the webcam.
✔ Violations may result in exam termination by the proctor.

Course Description
The ITIL® 4 Foundation course introduces learners to the key concepts, principles, and terminology of the ITIL® 4 framework for IT service management. It explains how modern IT-enabled services are designed, delivered, and continually improved to create business value. The course covers the Service Value System, guiding principles, and core practices, preparing participants to effectively align IT services with organizational goals and successfully pass the ITIL® 4 Foundation certification exam.
